ACTIVE MARRI HONEY
Our Marri Honey is collected from the rich and ancient Marri forests in the southwest of Western Australia. Sometimes referred to as Red Gums due to their deep red sap, the Marri trees yield beautiful cream coloured blossoms from which our bees source their honey.
Though they emit a strong fragrance, Marri Honey made from these blooms has a more subtle flavour profile.
What is Total Activity?
Total Activity is the measurement of the honey's anti-microbial quality, it's anti-microbial strength in killing bacteria. Any honey with a TA rating higher than 10+ has beneficial antimicrobial properties. The larger the TA number, the stronger the antimicrobial effect level of the honey.
Delicious honey. Very good service and communication
The honey is great.
First time Marri purchase
Honey for Life is an amazing organisation with amazing ethics and products so I have subscribed to a monthly delivery of pollen (which I have had in the past) and this time I chose the active Marri honey. It has a clear, deeper flavour than expected and a little goes a long way. So far I have not found anything it does not taste good with :) It might not be to everyone's palate, but I think the quality and taste is really excellent.
Not what I remember…
Make no mistake … this is good honey, but for me my childhood memories of my father’s hobby hive honey from the hills behind Perth meant I was a tad disappointed. Also, it’s a little smoky - no doubt with good reason. Sorry to be critical… but you did ask!!
love the honey
great in quality and taste
